The Express Tan is an accelerated spray tan formulation that only needs to be left on your skin for 2 - 5 hours in order to activate. Perfect for appointment times scheduled before 6pm or for anyone that wants a quick rinse so they can go about their day or prefer to rinse before bedtime. The Express Tan is time sensitive so you'll want to rinse exactly when instructed to avoid over-processing. The Classic Tan is a traditional spray tan formulation that needs to be left on your skin for a minimum of 8 hours to fully activate. It's great for appointments scheduled after 6pm because it can be slept in overnight without concern for over processing. Just be sure you can avoid getting wet & sweating before it's time to rinse! Since everyone's skin reacts differently to the amount of spray tan solution, color of solution and brand of solution, I always recommend a trial tan. Once we both know how your skin reacts to the solution used, we can make adjustments at your next appointment. You never want to leave this to chance, especially when your appearance is imminent. What if I've had spray tans before? Every artist spray tans differently and uses different solutions. Their pre tan prep and post tan care guidelines may be different based upon the solutions they use. There is no way to guarantee your spray tan results will come out exactly the same as the last place you went. ⁣ A trial tan serves as a baseline. From there, some like to go a little lighter. Spray tan solutions contain two main ingredients: cosmetic bronzer and dihydroxyacetone (or DHA). The bronzer is temporary and will wash off with your first rinse. It serves as a guide for your artist to ensure even application as well as a provide you with an idea of how the tan will look once it's fully processed. DHA interacts with the amino acids in the outermost layer of your skin to create a tanning effect. DHA is derived from sugar beets or sugar cane. It comes in a variety of percentages to create lighter or darker tans. Since the pH of your skin directly affects the structure of the amino acids in your skin, it's important to shower the night before your sunless session. This will give your skin's pH enough time to neutralize and provide the ideal surface for the spray tan solution to react.

Keep in mind, proper skin preparation as well as what you put onto your skin post-tan can interfere with color development. Some ingredients can change the pH of your skin & turn your faux glow brassy. A spray tan is one of the only beauty services where the service provider has to rely on the client to properly prepare and care for their tan in order to achieve desired results. Services are scheduled every 30 minutes to include consultation, solution selection, skin preparation, application, moisture wicking detail, check out and Q&A. The actual time you're getting your spray tan takes about 15 minutes.

1 day before a vacation 2-3 days before a special event (wedding, prom, photo shoot, etc) ALL new clients should schedule a trial tan prior to any vacation or special event. Spray tanning is a science. We are applying solution to create a skin reaction. We are not applying a color. A trial tan provides the necessary baseline to ensure the proper reaction. If necessary, adjustments will be made at your next session to accommodate preferred results. Brides should schedule a trial tan a minimum of 2-3 weeks prior to their wedding, or alongside your hair and makeup trials, to pick the perfect shade.

You will be required to provide credit card information in order to reserve an online appointment, however, your card will not be charged at this time. A bathing suit, undergarments, or not... tan lines optional. Thongs are a popular choice. Woman 18+ may undress to their comfort level. Men and minors MUST wear bottoms. No exceptions. Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing after your session. Tight clothes will create unwanted tan lines (no bras, camisoles, leggings, jeans, socks or anything sinched around the wrists, waist or ankles.) Note: There is no place for body shaming during your appointment. Everyone has insecurities no matter their age, weight, shape or size. You're feeling vulnerable... completely understandable. Great question! A spray tan is NOT a color being applied to your skin, although it might look that way. A spray tan is a chemical reaction between the solution and the amino acids in your skin. If the pH of your skin isn't neutralized prior to application, your results could process unevenly, too light or not at all. Final results can be affected by: showering the day of your appointment, medication, pregnancy, menstruation, menopause, anti-aging skin products and coming to your session with lotion, oil, perfume or deodorant on your skin.

The solution contains cosmetic bronzers and although water soluble and easily washed out of most fabrics, it can transfer onto clothing, bedding, furniture and car seats. To prevent transfer, cover your couch & bedsheets with a large beach towel or old blanket. To prevent staining, launder all fabrics as soon as possible. This is why we suggest wearing long, dark clothing. During the warm, summer months bring a towel to sit on in your car as well as one to protect your seatbelt from rubbing across your chest.

No. Schedule other self-care services (mani/pedi, lashes, waxing, facial, massage) 24-48 hours before your spray tan. Products in these services act as a barrier to the tanning solution & need to be thoroughly exfoliated off the night before you tan. Showering/exfoliating the same day as your spray tan appointment could create undesirable results. The pH of your skin must be balanced properly for the spray tan solution to work correctly. Showering/exfolilating the day before your spray tan appointment allows your skin's pH level to return to normal so the solution can react correctly on your skin.

Due to the nature of our service, Sans Soleil LLC does not offer refunds. All sales are final. Missed or no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee. Appointments must be cancelled/rescheduled 24 hours before the start time of the appointment or will be charged 100% of the full service fee.
